how to replace my iphone 4 with applecare

i bought a iphone on craigslist a few months back.i dont have at&t service so i havebeen using it with wifi mostly.i have a few problems and questions.

1... the wifi is acting up pretty bad.it has very low service on it and sometimes dont work at all.

2... thebattery does not last long at all and is extremely hot while charging

3... the person i bought it from has applecare on it.but i was not aware it had to be transfered to me.he was under the impression i could just use it.


now my questions are

1... will i have any trouble using the applecare?

2... i dont have any contract with at&t and i wanna use it with t mobile.is there any way they will exchange it under warranty with an unlocked one?

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

You gotta get in contact with them again...there is a way to transfer it online, but you can also just go to a apple store there is a good chance they will give you a much netter answer. If you don't live by one call up AppleCare.
