How to jailbreak 4.2.1 (tethered)

sorry so i went of this felix burns site downloaded the 4.2.1 ipsw file for ipad which i updated through itunes when it promepted me, so now what im doing i went on itunes clicked shift and chose the ipsw file that i just downloaded from felix burns then i will restore with that? is that right then i will carry on to start redsnow?

either select download only in itunes and open it in the folder or use the direct link..

Im also JB on 4.1 I think its always good to have the last software on my phone, i think the iphone is a beast and it deserves to be running up to date and efficent but theres no reason to jump the gun and install 4.2.1 unless your having issues with your phone. If not then just be patient there will be a unteathered JB. As for the new 4.2.1 software the new printing feature is pretty sick as i use my iphone as a lil hand held computer!!!
 
doh, this is what i get for not readng directions, i feel so dumb...ok i tried re doing all the stuff with this new jailbreak its so annoying, im going back to 4.1 till an untethered one comes out

I've noticed that after updating, my phone won't auto lock itself anyone else having issues with 4.2.1 not jb related?
 
I have still got iOS 4.1 jailbroken with Limera1n baseband 02.10.04! If I upgrade to iOS 4.2 will be able to jailbreak my iPhone 4 with Limera1n again or Greenp0ison and will Limera1n and Greenp0ison be UNTETHERD? or is their another jailbreak for iOS 4.2? I am not interested in unlocking.

as far as i know, redsn0w is the only one available at the moment, there was one called pinkra1n but i dont think thats legit...

agreed, hast makes waste give it a week or 2 to be. the last thing you wanna do is screw up your iDevices.
