You may need to contact your cellular provider to have the service enabled. This may cost extra. Once enabled, you will find it in Settings between Cellular and Carrier.

Does the iPhone 5 not show "Carrier" in Settings? Mine does not show that.

You've got a Verizon iPhone, maybe the settings menu is different because of that.

Well I have a verizon phone and my menus are different: Sent from my iPhone 5c using Tapatalk
From what I see in your second screenshot, once you tap on the set up personal hotspot link, you can set up your hotspot by giving it a name and password. Once done, it should show up in your settings menu under Cellular.

Mine does not show carrier or set up personal hotspot.
So does that mean mine can't have a personal hotspot.
I have sprint.

No, it just means that you have to contact your cellular carrier in order to activate the feature, if your carrier allows the use of a personal hotspot. Until you do, you won't have the option to set up or use the hotspot feature.

OK well I don't plan to set up my phone as a hotspot, my phone bill is high enough already!
