Home button not working on iphone.

If your home button doesnt work on your iphone, is it something simple to fix?

See my friend gave me a iphone 3g Tmobile as a gift. However, recently I noticed the home botton, which is the square one, is not working. whenever i press it, nothing happens. however when i press the lock button or touch screen it works fine. the mp3 works fine, it doesnt have scratches, no cracks. is this something simply to fix. will apple charge me if i ask them to fix it.can a genius apppointment fix it.:retina: i dont have the contact info of the person who gave it to me.

A 3g iPhone doesn't have a retina display. Yes if u take the phone to apple, they will fix it for u, but i guess, they will charge you.

Update the latest iOS. If the problem is not fixed then you need to go to the iPhone Care only.
