My wives iPhone has been jail broken a while, but over the past 24 hours it has been slow and lagging, and about 20 mins ago, she turned it off and it froze on the apple icon screen and hasn't budged since, as much help as possible is required,

Not 100% but it could be 4.x it's a 3GS if that helps

The iPhone has now been connected routines and the charging icon has appeared, I will wait till fully charged and hope for the best if all is well, whatmaintemance can be done on the iPhone to make it run smoothly?
