okay so i recently found an iphone 4 or 4s, i dont know the difference (help with that would be appreciated too) however my main concern is that its provider is verizon and its not sim/gsm equipped, any idea on how to remove the number?

The best thing to do is turn that phone into Verizon, or its proper carrier, and let the owner have their device back.

Otherwise, that's a stolen phone and we can't help you with that.
