Generic lightening cable

Hi everyone, just wanted to ask has anyone been successful in buying a generic iphone 5 cable that works. I still have not bought one for my car yet. There was talk of them not working with ios7.

I've bought an Amazon branded cable and a Griffin. Both work fine with my 5s.
