Doesn't re-connect when in an area of signal?

This problem has never happened on any phone i've had before - including a iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.

Basically i'll go into an area with no signal/bad enough signal for it to give 'no service' and then when i go to an area that I know has good signal it still says 'no service' and doesn't have any internet/signal until I either wait 20 mins+ or turn off and then on again.


This is annoying as my kitchen has always had bad signal (something to do with the way it was built I don't know, it's an extension it ahs always happened to everyones phones) and so if i go in there as soon as i leave i have bad signal.


Anyone else with this problem or a fix? I've tried resetting network settings, and a restore. Eh.

I mean phone/data signal. No calls/texts/browsing. Also it means that my texts screw up even once i regain signal - I start getting texts from the hour before and such only just come through.

Annoyed, but don't want to go through a whole send back process if it's just normal.
