Just curious about this as I am still somewhat new to iPhone. I am running 4.2.8 jailbroken and alls well. In the past, on BB, I have had disruptions when the carrier would push a new OS on me and I will like to avoid that.

Thanks. And is (or when) this happens, do you think will we have the ability to say no thanks to the update?

No. Ios5 will offer the OTA. I don't think veriZOn will have much control over that. As far as the whole 5 version I'm unclear of how that will work. I hope they don't screw us over like they have been doing
Skull One said:It wasn't Apples choice. VZW forced CDMA to stay on 4.2.x. But Apple is correcting that with iOS 5. In fact, and this is my opinion without using anything I have seen in the beta, I believe Apple decided to add OTA because VZW was screwing up their business plans too much.
