Does the low power battery mode increase battery life?

got the new 6s and was wondering if it's worth using low power mode on it. I do use it but not noticed any difference in how long battery lasts with or without it.

Low power mode is supposed to save battery power. It changes some settings automatically, so that the battery lasts longer.
