Does any body knows when Verizon wireless ends the billig cycle?

I'm about to activate my new iphone 4S, the activation info says I will get charged for a partial month of use + a full month of service in advance. Does any body knows when the billing cycle ends for Verizon? I dont want to have a too many days in my first partial month of service + next month charges. Once the billig cycle ends, when will be the due date for payment as a second question? thanks.

That's their policy. Your first bill will be high.
