COS 120 -> -0.5
*5 -> -2.4999999999999989


Is that normal rounding error or something?

Does your question ave anything to do with the iPhone 5? The cryptic nature of your question makes it hard to tell.

I'm doing the calculation on the iPhone 5 first cosine 120 to get -.5 then multiply by 5. Should be -2.5.
