I shattered my iphone 4 front screen, it still turned on and i could see the display but couldnt actually unlock the phone as it had lost some of its touch screen sensitivity. I ordered a new digitizer. Before i installed it i made sure that it would work so i plugged it in and it did, and the other cracked screen worked too. So i installed the new screen into the iphone followed every step correctly and when i tried turning it on it only the backlight lit up to a black screen. So i plugged in the old digitizer to see if it was a faulty one, but it also only had a backlight.
I have no idea whats wrong, maybe the area where you plug the digitizer in is messed up, i dont know...
