contacts not working properly after reset

So I've been following different thread on the battery life issue. I followed one where they were saying to start with a reset..then go change some settings and such. I reset the phone... but now my contacts don't work correctly, as far as identifying the people calling/texting.
The contacts all changed to the areacode and number in straight numbers...say 5556258787. It used to show it with spaces and such.
If I get a text from that number, it will identify the person correctly.
If I get a call from that number, it only shows the number...with a 1 in front. If I change the number in the contacts to have a 1 in front of it...it will identify the caller correctly, but not the text from that number. I have to have the number in twice... with and without the 1 in front in order to identy the person when they both text and call.
It wasn't like this before the reset. Got a clue how I can fix this?

Seems the issue stems from backing up thru I-tunes. It's not reloading the contacts properly. The fix is either reset and reload thru Icloud, or as easy as dialing *228 then select prompt one. Fixed it for me.
