Connecting to apple tv

I'm using Verizon iPhone 4 4.2.8 jailbroken. When connecting to an apple tv2 the airplay button disappears only for videos. So photos appear on the tv fine, but not for a movie in the photo album or from BigU movies.

I've tried restarting, changing the language, and turning on/off the wifi. Is there a way to get this to work?

Wish I could help. I just use the av adapter (hdmi) for my iPad/ip4

Do you need a special cable to do mirroring on the 4S?

All my videos and movies stream just fine to my apple tv 2.

On the other hand you Might have to upgrade to iOS 5.....
