Computer reading iPhone 4s as still imaging camera can not sync with iTunes

When I open iTunes on my computer no devices show up (I have an iPhone 4s and an iPod touch). I plug both in with USB cable but my computer reads them as a camera only. I have tried reinstalling iTunes and restarting my computer with my phone plugged in but it still reads it as a camera only. What is making me feel insane is that the first time I tried to sync with iTunes it worked with no problems. Any suggestions on how I can my phone to sync to with iTunes?
