Is their a general for turning of the charging of your phone if you put him in a ipod/iphone dock?

Unfortunately no. If you have anything connected to your iPhone's dock it'll charge the entire time. What's your concern w/ this?
 
My concern about it is that it's bad for your battery if he charge when he's half full? What do you think of thuis thought? By the thanks for your response!

You can charge your device at any point in the discharge cycle. It has no effect on the battery if you plug in the charger when the battery is at 50% charge.

The battery works off of full charge cycles. The example that Mophie gives is that you can charge it 10% for 10 times and it'll only increment 1 full charge. That's how it works. So if you're charging it 40% today, 20% tomorrow, 20% the day after, 10% the next and 10% the last, you've only charged it one full cycle. But it's recommended that you don't make it a habit. Or if you do, at least completely discharge your device biweekly to keep the battery healthy.
