Car iphone holde

I purchased an car iPhone holder from Argos, it help the phone great, but beware when I arrived home found that it had damaged the charger point beyond repair. Argos would and did give me a refund for the holder but would not help me out with a replacement phone or compensate me.
So be careful

I'm trying to figure out how you did that. I don't have one, but have had similar ones for my PDA with no problems. The end with the connector is open.

Just curious.

There is a spring clip at the lower end. So when the phone is held it bears against the connection.

Really wonder how would do damage to your phone?while i am using mine car kit iPhone holder+charger+FM transmitter from Dynamic8,there won't be any problems happend as you said.

Take pictures, of the condition.
So we can help you.
Also contact Apple UK and tell them through E-mail what has happened to your phone, also request for a replacement. If it is possible, and they would take the faulty phone off you and replace it.
Does your phone belong to a provider/company?

I sent my iPhone 3GS to repair following instruction from insurance, they reported the phone could not be repaired, so I received an iPhone 4 last month.
So missed out on the 4S then last week the 4 died on me I returned it to Apple store they replaced it for another 4 it was Apple's policy to replace with the same phone. While at the store requested they check the new phone an guess what it was dead so out came another 4 at least this is ok!
If I had been more insistent maybe they would have gave me a new 4S but that's life!
