Can't get email

I woke up this morning to discover that my iPhone 4 will not retrieve email. I closed all of my apps and tried a hard shut down, but no luck. I am able to access the Internet and Facebook, and I'm still able to perform other functions (phone, text, music, etc.). Any suggestions please?

Can you give us more info? What type of e-mail? What is happening that you can't "get it"? Error message? Stuck connecting?
