Hi, all,

I recently jailbroke a ATT locked iPhone 4 for a friend. It had 6.1.2. Evasi0n was super easy.

I just inherited a ATT- locked 3Gs. The problem is it's already on official 6.1.3. Never been jailbroken.

Is there and any way to jailbreak this 3Gs, tethered or untethered? Can I downgrade to 6.1.2 without "blobs?" Then it'd be easy to use evasi0n.

In case it matters, here is some info on it:
Model MC640LL/A
Modemfirmware: 05.16.08

Thank you,
Bacca

It's impossible to downgrade without blobs unless it's iOS 4.1. Otherwise no. You can jailbreak any device regardless of whether it's been jailbroken or not. As long as the iOS on your device is jailbreakable, you can jailbreak it. iOS 6.1.3 has a tethered jailbreak only with the new bootrom. The old bootrom 3GS is always untether-able using RedSn0w.

thank you. I jailbroke it wih redsn0w tethered. Selected a 6.0 IPSW.
