Calls not going through w/ full service

I had full service the other day in down town Atlanta and my buddy walked in the house and said he had called like 5 times, I only had one missed call and it was from someone else. Anyone know why this is happening?

what are some general reasons that calls will not go through?

Mine did that today, was in the house and had full service and my work had called but the phone did not ring, but l got a voicemail through. Very strange.
