Calling quality

The calling quality of my iPhone 7 Plus is very poor. Can anyone help me of what could be the cause and how to rectify the situation?

It’s most likely your wifi or mobile carrier reception. Check the number of bars you have.

iPhones don’t have SIM cards. As far as I know, Apple doesn’t allow them at all.

Yes iPhones have sims. Is it incoming or outgoing calls? Nothing blocking the microphone or earpiece? Try enabling or disabling noise cancellation to see if that makes a difference. Settings>General>Accessibility>phone noise cancellation

Yes your iPhone has a SIM card (or you cannot make a call when not on wifi).

Is it your hearing the other person well, them not hearing you or both?

Is it better or worse on speaker?

Have you tried phone calls with the Apple supplied ear pods? Is that better, worse, or the same?

Thank you guys for valuable advices. By then I was using iOS 10.0.3 but soon after updating to iOS 11.1 and now 11.2 Beta 2 the problem has disappeared! [emoji120]
