Call issue

I have started having problems with my iphone 4, when making or receiving a call they cannot hear me talk to them unless i put them on loud speaker.

Any ideas guys as its driving me crazy

This is exactly what just happened to a coworker with a brand new iphone4, and it sounds crazy simple but her problem was that she had the plastic cover to protect her screen and she couldn't hear others or them hear her well because the screen protector extended over the entire front covering the earpiece and mouth piece. Once she pulled off the clear protector it all worked fine. Good luck.

I can hear others perfect but they just cant hear me, I have a screen cover on the phone but hasnt changed since new so cant see that been the problem.

Ok screen cover has been taking off still no change, i have tryed making a call with ear phones in and they can hear me perfect!

I just cannot understand why a normal call will not work!

Anyone any more ideas what this could be?
