Bought an iPhone 3GS on ebay

Was wondering can the guy who sold me the iphone track me? Also I heard he can lock up my phone and stuff. Is this for real?

As long as you are not using his Apple ID for anything, he cannot track you. Go to Settings > Mail and delete all accounts there. Add a new Mobile Me or iCloud account - depending on your OS version - and use your Apple ID to set up Find my Phone.

This is the feature he would use to track your phone, but his Apple ID would have to still be defined in the accounts section

Ok got my phone today. One problem though i can't make a mobileme account and also there is no icloud there when i try to add an account. Also I notice there is no mail account on the phone.

You have to install iOS 5 & you have to add your email account to the phone.
