BlackBerry Messenger Updated with New Adding Contacts UI

Although BlackBerry has been falling behind in recent years, its ever-so-popular BlackBerry Messenger is still used worldwide. Back in June, BlackBerry added a redesigned interface to BBM, along with new emoticons/stickers, and an easier way to add contacts by email.

BBM has been updated today to version 2.3.0.12, as if it couldn't get any longer than that, adding bug fixes, performance improvements, and now the ability to add contacts by PIN, email, SMS, and barcode.

The new update also allows for folks to search for users through BBM. Among the new features, BBM fanatics can review and accept invites from other users as well.

BlackBerry Messenger, or simply BBM, is a cross-platform instant messaging service, so you don't need to know what type of operating system your friends and family have. BBM is only available on the iPhone and iPod Touch currently and can be found in the App Store, free of charge.
