One of the internal hardware details which Apple almost never divulges immediately with their products is the amount of RAM they have. Yesterday's launch of the new iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro are no exception.

Despite that, the info always comes out one way or another. We already have that info today. Apparently both of these devices have been tested on AnTuTu and Geekbench, and the results of the benchmarks indicate that both the iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro include 2GB of RAM.

Interestingly, this is half the 4GB found in the original 12-inch iPad Pro. It also looks like the A9X processor in the smaller iPad Pro is slightly under-clocked compared to the larger version. The chipset in the iPhone SE doesn't appear to be under-clocked at all though.

I'm wondering why they under locked the CPU and gave the 9.7" iPad Pro half the RAM of the larger iPad Pro? I would have thought they could have made both identical to the larger iPad Pro.
