Is there another way to make these batteries last longer, I feel like they are worse than even the 3GS!

You could try turning off any features not currently being used, such as location services, WiFi, etc..

You can adjust its brightness and yeah always turn off the apps that are not being used.

I am using 4s. My battery life was about 15% average per hour after switching of 3g, push notifications etc.(before that 18 - 20%!). Then I read skull's battery article and advice on this forum regarding "teaching" your os on the battery usage. I drained battery untill it died, charged it to 100%, and did that for 3 periods. In the meantime the only thing I did was to upload whatsapp. Suddenly my battery is at 35% after 6 hours and 31 minutes usage!!! I can't believe!!! It's about 10% per hour, while previously 15% per hour! But only thing I did was the drainage thing! Try that and see what happened. I must also mention, I let it charge once...didn't disconnect the charger until full charge. If skull read this, as I admire his knowledge on batteries, I would just want to know if that can make that big difference? Also, I upgraded to 6.0.1 when it was available. So, no fingers can be pointed to the upgrade.

You are probably definitely right with that one, because I do the same thing with my PC when it runs abnormally thanks for the tip!!!

Skull's absolutely right. ANYTHING with a rechargeable battery, even Lithium-ion, will benefit from "full cycle" charging from time-to-time. Full drain, full charge about 3 to 4 times. I even read in a manual to something that had a battery some years back that even mentions it. They called it "Training the Battery". Seems like companies would just jot that down somewhere in a manual, website, or tech spec sheet one.

The iPhone battery doesn't require any training. The only reason for a periodic full cycle charge is to ensure that the battery percentage indicator remains properly calibrated.

True. It's gotten to where you pretty much have the 'freedom' to charge/discharge as you please. And because I'd really like to know myself; does it do any harm or shorten the iphone battery life to charge it how you please. Like let's say letting it charge from maybe 30 or 40%, to let's say 60%, unplug it and use for only a little while? Then plug it back up and not charge all the way again?
You see I do this a lot because I don't smoke in my house. So every 1/2 hr or so I go out to do so. Come back in after 10 or 15 mins and plug my phone back up only to do it all over again within the hour, 'till I reach full charge anyways. I'm afraid that I'm torturing my battery to death. But I've also heard that it really won't hurt it, 'cause this doesn't happen everyday.
And another thing, I only really start charging when I'm down to like 30-40% at the most maybe. What's you're take on it?

The only thing affected by your frequent charging is likely to be the battery percentage indicator. This is why It's recommended you do a full cycle charge about once a month, it keeps the percentage indicator accurate. These batteries don't have a memory like the older batteries.

Yeh I have "BATTERY Pro" app just for the full cycle charge. Was only 99 cents. But I am looking to see what the best battery app is, even though there's not really much an app can do for your battery other than fcc and info huh?

My battery only drains when using 3G...

If I'm on wifi I can go all day listening too pandora texting websites forums eBay youtube etc..
