Backing Up Contacts

I would like to copy the contacts on my Iphone 4 to my computer.
This would be a backup.
How do I go about this?

Connect your phone iTunes your iPhone icon will be display in the left panel in iTunes, make a right click on the phone icon, in the drop list select "backup" this will create a backup of your files and save it into your computer for a later restore if needed.
