Auto lock stopped working

Hi all.

Mine is an iPhone 3GS. Yesterday I noticed that my auto lock was no longer locking as it should.

I followed these steps to see as to why this happened. I went, Settings>General>Auto Lock and then 5 minutes as allways, but half an hour later, still no lock.

I then tried for a shorter time, but the result was the same, the phone was still not locking. It appears that this security function has given up the ghost for some reason.

Any ideas appreciated.

You could try a hard reset, hold down your on/off and home button until the apple appears then let go, this can fix many glitches.

Thanks for the suggestion, but sadly it did not fix the problem ��
