Archiving WeChat messages on computer.

Is anyone here familiar with the WeChat app? I used PhoneView on my MacBook to access the App's data, and I was able to find previous videos and photos I had sent and received; however, I was unable to find any of my previous chats and I would like to archive them on my computer. Would anyone be willing to look into this for me? I don't know much about how apps work so I would have no idea where to begin when it comes to finding theses messages.
