Apple’s Apple Store iPhone app finally got its much-vaunted facelift today, following on from yesterday’s worldwide retail store revamp, MacRumors reports. The app now gives you the ability to custom configure a new Mac to your own personal liking, and also features an Enhanced in-store mode that is like your own personal version of the new iPad interactive displays in the retail stores, in that you can use it to call for assistance from a Specialist when you’re actually in the store. It also tells you how long you have to wait for the next free Genius Bar slot, as well as when the next Workshop is starting in the store. Possibly the most important thing to note about the app is that it is now available outside of the US, which it wasn’t before. On the down side, though, despite rumours of a specially enhanced version of the app for the iPad, such a version has yet to appear, although you can access the regular iPhone version on your iPad without any problems.
