Apple unveiled yesterday the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, alongside the new Rose Gold color and various other improvements. Apple also discontinued the plastic-bodied iPhone 5c and removed the Gold color option for the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, and dropped their prices.

As it usually does with previous iPhone models, Apple has dropped prices of the older iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus by $100. Thus, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus would now start at $99 and $199 on 2-year contracts. The 16GB iPhone 5s model is available for free with a 2-year contract.

If you want to buy unlocked models, the 16GB variant of the iPhone 5s will be priced at $449, the iPhone 6 at $549 and the iPhone 6 Plus at $649. Apple has also removed the Gold color option from iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, probably trying to increase adoption for the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus which will get all four colors - Silver, Space Gray, Gold and Rose Gold.

That means that anyone selling their iPhone 6/6 plus will get less for it now.
