My friend is blind and is having difficulty answering phone calls. He cannot answer before the phone stops ringing when it is on a black screen. He has to locate the slider, tap twice and he has trouble locating the slider, partly because he has large working mans fingers.
We need to find a way to help him answer. Does anyone know how to turn off the slider? Other means would be acceptable also. We thought about trying to use the volume button as an answer button but I don't think that will work.

Hi ...I haven't used this myself, but have you looked into the voice over settings within the iPhone. Having that on helps people that have visual limitations/legally blind to operate their iPhone.

We are using voice over. That requires you to touch the slide then double tap to get out of the lock screen. That is the problem.
