How to tell if iPhone is an original?

Well, I bought the iphone from a friend, not yet paid, he owns a computer store and made a good price to me just do not know if it is original or not, can someone help me?

this shall at least tell you if you really own an original iDevice!

Oh I get it...so if it's real. I'm so dumb sometimes. I thought maybe as in like a jail break virgin or something

Gosh -- call me stupid too then -- because i would think it would be EXTREMELY difficult to 'fake' an iPhone -- particularly an iP4 -- am i just näive? I mean -- hand it to me, i'll feel the heft of it, turn it on -- is the display BRILLIANT and clear (i.e. a Retina Display) compared to *any* other phone you've seen? Call 611 from the phone (can do even without a contract) does it work / function? Then i'd say its 'real' -- i guess if i'd never seen an iPhone up close ... But you could walk up to anybody with an iP4 on the street, ask them to compare your screen to theirs and you would be able to tell.
