I have an iPhone XS MAX and have a problem with the rear camera. When I try to take a photo sometimes I hear the camera click but no photo is taken. If I go to portrait mode the screen is blurred and seems to freeze. Apple said that there was a hardware issue with the camera so I had the camera replaced by a very reputable repairer. When I got the phone back the problem was still there. This makes me think that the problem is not the camera but something else. Video mode works properly as does the panorama mode. Has anyone come across this and a solution to the problem?
