why cant i see most wifi hot spota

On my android I see way more hotspots And I'm trying to connect via my 3gs and only see 2 And not the one I need.... this happens a lot.

Apple made the decision to only show strong hotspot signals to insure a quality experience when using the web. Android simply shows everything it can see even if it can't maintain a connection.
