WhatsApp always deletes my status after a while

Hello,

For some reason, WhatsApp keeps randomly deleting my status after a while.


If I enter a new status, it will stay there for some time (30 min? 1 hour?), but then it will disappear and switch back to "Hey there! I'm using WhatsApp".
Also, if I completely quit WhatsApp by removing it from the "Recent App List" (by double-clicking the home button to display the recently accessed applications and then removing WhatsApp entry there) my status always disappear - but if my friend tries the same on his iPhone (3GS, iOS 5) his status does not disappear, even after removing WhatsApp from the Recent App List.


What can I do to prevent WhatsApp from deleting my actual status? I want my status to stay there for the next weeks, I don't intend to update it regularly, I just want to tell in which country I currently am.


I'm using WhatsApp version 2.6.7 on an iPhone 3GS (iOS 4.0)

I'm also facing the same problem. Please help as soon as possible. It's really irritating.
