What's this button do?

What is this little button on the right bottom. When I double click home button and scroll to left its there sometimes and not others?????

That's the button for you to activate Air Play to your Apple TV. it's only active when/if you are using an Air Play capable app.

I use it on my phone a lot. I have a receiver that e net cable and I can play any music from my phone to my home theater on wifi

It's also present when using the Airport Express.

Just go play some music on your idevice and then click it to select your tv or whatever you have and it should play through that device

I discovered this button when I received an AppleTV for my birthday a month ago! That button is like magic!

I just press that button and my PBS shows come up on my 32 inch TV! Love watching Downton Abbey and Netflix on it!
