According to a recent article published on Sizzledcore, the iPhone 4 Retina display could be the bottleneck causing iPhone 4 delays. The new screen boosts a 960-by-640 pixel resolution at 325 ppi, 800:1 contrast ratio, 500 cd/m2 max brightness. To date this screen offers the highest resolution of any in the cell phone industry.

Apple is using Retina screen manufactured by LG Display Korea in iPhone 4. But, with LG Display significantly falling behind to the probable production of 4 million such screens a month with present production standing out at just 2 million units a month, has as well led to alike adjustments in iPhone 4 shipments for this year, reported a superior technology analyst at Rodman plus Renshaw.

He more said, “The expect is that the LG transition to Gen 5 LCD capacity by late summer could help out alleviate the production bottleneck. Meanwhile there is a non trivial danger in the September quarter whereby order for the legacy 3GS iPhone drops off quicker than production can ramp up for the iPhone 4.”
