Yes - it was in Toronto near Ontario Place for years then went to Hamilton. Any connection my people would have had with either ship would have been in probably the 60's

I used to have that app and enjoyed it's 'all in one place' presentation but sadly, like many others, it was very slow to update and often wildly inaccurate where I live in the Caribbean so I deleted it. I wonder what source it uses for European weather (?)

It uses the nearest airport weather station or personal weather station. There‘s one of those PWS in the village next to mine, which I’ve chosen as my main station, so it works pretty well. Most of the time it‘s not as accurate as the other app I‘m using as well, though.

That's what it's been an epiphany to use Openweather. It's origin & source is UK - and it is source either by default or as choice for other apps. I found out a while ago and with several other aps that even if the phone GPS locates you and they show your location, the 'Airport weather' is displayed. And airports are notorious for microclimate effects.
