As you guys may not know, I wasn't on the forum anymore for a while.
But know I'm back and need help for the first time :O
Not a problem with my iPhone, but a problem I have to sort out.
I have recently bought a new 3GS 16GB Firmware 6.15.00 working perfectly, not used before.
Only upgraded to iOS4.1 when 4.1 was released.
Unlocked, not factory unlocked. But am aware that if I upgrade to iOS 5.1, I will lose my unlock.
I have talked earlier on this week, with someone else and they told me ''Keep your baseband, create a backup, upgrade to iOS 5.1 and recover your baseband and JAILBREAK.
As I am not an experinced iPhone user, I don't know what a baseband is. So can anyone please explain, how I will be able to keep my baseband. So I can upgrade. The rest I already know, just the baseband.
I'm keeping my baseband because I don't want to upgrade and then unlock and jailbreak again because the money, that has been spent to unlock it, will all be a waste.
iPhone unlocking costs more than £30 round $60 dollar is an estimation.
