Even though many folks are excited about the announcement of the new iPhone 4S, some find it impossible to upgrade because of lengthy contracts that cannot be annulled with service providers. However, do not despair – there’s an app that will help you get the much desired phone once it hits the stores.

This new application is downloadable for AT&T users and it tells you if you’re eligible for an upgrade, what kind of upgrade you can sign up for, and most importantly, how much it will cost you. If everything is acceptable to you, you can ask for a new contract and the upgrade.

The “AT&T Upgrader” will be available in the app store soon, and until then you can visit either the provider website or the Apple one and enter your details.

However, if you’re not happy with either AT&T or Verizon, you can wait out for your contract to expire and head over to Sprint, who will be the third U.S. carrier to sell Apple’s new products.

Apple’s iPhone 4S was announced yesterday at the “Let’s talk iPhone” conference and it will be available for purchase starting October 14th. The phone works in both CDMA and GSM networks, it has a better graphics processor, a better camera and battery and it also introduces the Siri application to iPhone users. Siri is a voice controlled personal assistant that will do whatever jobs you make it do, like search the internet, ask for directions, set up appointments in your calendar, make phone calls and much more.
