Fantastic news today from AppleInsider for those of you who have been thinking of buying an iPhone 4 or 4S, as Walmart seems to have decided now would be a good time to start dropping the price of its iPhones. Cult of Mac first found out about the price drop at a Walmart in Edmond, Oklahoma, where both the black and white iPhone 4S 16GB models were selling for $114, a reduction of $74 from the regular price of $188. The iPhone 4 was also going cheap at the same store, with both the black and white 8GB model priced at $34, a big reduction from Walmart’s usual price of $88. Apparently The Verge also found that a store in Austin, Texas was selling the iPhone 4S for $114, although strangely they were not discounting the iPhone 4 at any of the stores that The Verge checked with. All of the offers from Walmart must be bought in conjunction with a 24-month AT&T contract.

UPDATE: Unfortunately Walmart has now told 9to5 Mac that the reductions were an error, so don't expect any more savings from them!
