Vimeo Launches Official iPhone App

The Vimeo blog announced today that Vimeo has finally released an official app for iPhone, which will enable you to upload, edit, manage, and watch Vimeo videos on your iPhone or iPad 2. Here are the main features, courtesy of Vimeo:

• Watch and manage all your existing Vimeo videos and download them to your camera roll
• Easily upload your raw footage or edited creations in HD or SD
• Pause/resume uploads and get reminded when a video is paused
• Replace existing videos
• Edit title, description, tags, privacy and credits
• Share with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, WordPress, Email or SMS
• Add your clips to your Groups, Channels and Albums
• Stats on daily plays, likes and comments

The video editor enables you to edit, combine and trim your videos, use transitions, effects and titles, add music and capture video with focus control and grid alignment.

If you want to use the app to watch your favourite Vimeo videos, it lets you watch from your Vimeo inbox, from your Watch Later queue, or from videos you have previously liked, as well as enabling you to like, comment on and add videos to your Watch Later queue.

Vimeo says that this app is just the beginning, and that users can expect regular updates, with Search, AirPlay support and much more to come.

The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch (4th gen), and iPad 2.
