Vimeo seems to be the underdog when it comes to video streaming sites, sitting in the shadow of YouTube and LiveLeak. However in recent months, Vimeo seems to be making its way, becoming an official iOS partner, along with acquiring Cameo and Echograph.

Vimeo users will be happy to hear that the company just released the Vimeo 4.2 update in the App Store. Vimeo 4.2 allows users to upload videos within the app, right from the Camera Roll. Along with this, Vimeo users can now share videos privately, without them showing up on the public feed.

Via App Store:
"Upload videos to Vimeo right from your Camera Roll and share them with friends. Then feast your eyeballs on gorgeous HD playback with no ads before, after, or on top of your videos. In your feed you’ll find a handful of amazing Staff Picks curated by our team every day, plus videos by your friends, family, and other cool people around the world.
What’s New in Version 4.2

Easily upload videos in your Camera Roll to Vimeo, right within the app.

Privately share videos with people you follow on Vimeo.

Find and follow friends already on Vimeo, and invite others to join."
Today's Vimeo 4.2 update is live and now available in the App Store. Recently, Vimeo received a full user interface makeover to match the like of iOS 7.
