If you go into camera there will be switch in the bottom right corner. It is a camera video icon Slide that to the right and you will be in video mode. Hope this helps. 

The 1st model doesn't support video mode. Unless you jailbreak it.

It's easy....well depending on your technical know how it could also be a daunting task. Lol.

It's very easy to jailbreak specially if you are on iOS 4.3.3 or lower for GSM or iOS 4.2.8 or lower for CDMA, just browse to jailbreakme.com using your iPhone safari browser and that's it, it will jailbreak it for you. But make sure that you backup your files using iTunes just to be on the safest side.

I did some checking it is a 3G 8GB so does it support video. sorry for the bad info.also the vol won't increase some one told me the headphone cable replace would fix the switch.
