Using IPSW File - 8.1.2

Is it too late to use the IOS 8.1.2 IPSW file? I tried and am getting an error immediately.

At this point in time there's no way of knowing how long the wait for the next jailbreak will be. While it's very unlikely that Apple can ever totally prevent an iOS version from being jailbroken, they can make it more difficult.
