Twitter announced via its blog today that it has updated its iPhone app, bringing back what it refers to as “high demand” features, such as the swipe shortcut and “Find friends”. For the former, this means that you can swipe a tweet in your home timeline if you want to reply to it, retweet it, favourite it or share it, without exiting your timeline. For the latter, a confirmation alert has been added when you click on “Find friends.” Twitter seems to have made quite a few changes to the iPhone-specific version of the app, bringing back the ability to copy and paste the text of Tweets and user profiles by pressing and holding to copy. Changes have also been made to the sharing of links, giving you several new options of how to share, including being able to open the link in Safari. The Direct Messages design has also been updated, and the ability to mark all DMs “read” has been restored. Finally, font size settings have been introduced in the Advanced section of the Settings menu. Sounds like with all these previously popular features being brought back that Twitter really listens to feedback and complaints from users. [/FONT]
