I'm new to this forum and looking for some insight into my screen problem.

    My problem is...
When on the lock screen, the unlock slider works fine. But when the emergency keypad screen comes on the back button and call button don't work, like the lower half of the screen isn't responding. All the numbers work, just not the lower 2 buttons.

    Anyone else had this problem?
    Is it a software problem??

    Any help would be great

Leaning more towards hardware than software issue, but it can still be a software issue. If possible, backup and restore the device afresh and see if that resolves the issue, if not, you'd have to open up the device and check that everything is in order, particularly the display

The phone was stuck in a infinite boot loop caused by connector #3. I've since disconnected connector #3, which then allowed the phone to boot up. I restored the phone. Twice after discovering the touchscreen problem and also jailbroke it. It does look like it needs a new screen.
