Reckless Racing has finally screeched its way onto the App Store, for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Based on the original top-down racer developed by Pixelbite, Reckless Racing brings old-school racing action crash-bang up to date, with graphics that take full advantage of the high-resolution displays and features of the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Balanced controls let players skid, slip and slide through the beautifully illustrated tracks, as six player characters each with individual cars race on tracks that can be driven both forward and in reverse.

Reckless Racing features three game types: straightforward racing with Dirty Rally, time trials against ghost cars in Hot Lap and racing against the clock on a custom map in a pick-up-and deliver Delivery game. Here's what Adam Sussman, Vice President of Worldwide Publishing for EA Mobile, had to say about the game:

"Reckless Racing fans and gamers around the world have been waiting for us to bring this engaging and great looking game to iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Reckless Racing demonstrates how EA can partner with fantastic independent developers to bring innovate and creative new games to consumers. With these relationships, we continue to push innovation and originality in mobile games focusing on the quality, gripping game experiences consumers expect from EA.”

You can download Reckless Racing from the App Store here for $2.99. Judging by the early rave reviews that are already in, it’s well worth it.
